The warm-up for an all-star weekend.

This Saturday, June 2nd, Roots Picnic returns to Penn's Landing for the 2018 installment of the beloved summer smoke show. Local luminaries and legends alike fill the bill, including Lil Uzi Vert, DJ Drama, and, of course, the mighty Roots crew, who'll back the incomparable Dave Chappelle for his notorious "jam session" — a spectacle that brought D'Angelo, John Mayer and the full force of their respective bands to one stage at NYC's Bryant Park event in 2016.

But before you dunk the whole of your body in SPF 50+ and hit 95 with rigor and righteousness, allow us to present unto you a little warm-up for this weekend's laughs and libations. Below you'll find the (Un)Official Roots Picnic 2018 Soundtrack, compiling the most crucial and criminally overlooked cuts from the cumulative catalogs of this year's roster, including classics from Brandy, The Roots, and Sun Ra, along with summer-sweet sounds from 6LACK, Tierra Whack, GoldLink, BADBADNOTGOOD, and a pair of Chappelle features to bookend the brilliance of this year's line-up.

Hit play below and join us beneath the Ben Franklin Bridge for the 2018 installation of the all-star festival. Grab your passes via Ticketmaster and hit the link to subscribe to our Spotify channel.
