Raekwon Announces 7th Studio Album 'The Wild'

Raekwon is no stranger to the game. Nearly 25 years into his career, the Wu-Tang Clan assassin has remained atop hip-hop’s all-timers list. And today, with the arrival of his seventh solo outing, The Wild, we learn there’s no rule of diminishing return applicable to The Chef.

Previewed on the album’s breakneck lead-off, “This Is What It Comes To,” Rae’s verbal dexterity proves to be intact after all these years, lining up with Lil Wayne, Andra Day, CeeLo and more. The album follows his 2015 release, Fly International Luxurious Art. Recently, he named Nas‘ Illmatic, Ghostface Killah‘s Supreme Clientele and Slick Rick‘s The Great Adventures amongst his favorite hip-hop albums. Jump back to peep the full list.

Hear the seventh solo studio album from Raekwon The Chef down below and catch him live and direct this summer in Newark on June 10th at The New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark or on July 22nd at The Chicago Theater. Pick up your copy of The Wild on iTunes today and stay tuned for the announcement of even more tour dates in support of the record in the weeks ahead.
