The Get Down Raury And Jaden Smith
The Netflix produced series The Get Down is making waves. The show takes place in the New York City borough of The Bronx during the 1970's as hip hop and its unique culture began to be created and subsequently flourished beyond the borders of New York. While on Beats 1 with Ebro, Raury and Jaden Smith, talked about the show, hip hop, the culture's roots, and premiered a new song called "Losing Your Mind." The track samples CAN's 1972 song "Vitamin C." Listen to and compare both tracks below. The Get Down was created and directed by Baz Luhrmann. Nelson George has joined on as a writer and Nas is the executive producer for the show's soundtrack. Justice Smith, Shameik Moore,Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Skylan Brooks, Herizen Guardiola, and Tremaine Brown Jr. will star in the show. Jaden Smith will also be in it.
